Company Using Web Marketing to Highlight Past Successes
Hoping to position himself and his company for future success, author, developer and entrepreneur Ed Safdie made a name for himself in the 1980s and 1990s with his beautiful spa properties, which received many distinguished guests and notable figures, including luminaries from the worlds of politics, film, TV, music and business. Mr. Safdie’s company, the Ed Safdie group, acquired spa properties, as well as residential buildings, commercial properties and other types of real estate across the country. The group owned properties in North Carolina, Texas, California, Connecticut and New York, as well as a spa property in the European country of Monaco.
Company Owned Spas Across America and Overseas
Ed Safdie Developer and his company, the Edward J. Safdie group, had great success with acquiring properties that had become neglected and in disrepair, investing money in these properties to enhance their appeal and value, and then selling them for a profit. Mr. Safdie very effectively marketed the company’s spa properties, helping them establish reputations as beautiful destination spas fit for the upper-class and the famous. Mr. Safdie wrote two cookbooks about the spa cuisine served at his company’s properties, books that helped these properties receive attention from major magazines in the ‘80s and ‘90s.
Safdie’s books, 1985’s “Spa Food: Menus & Recipes from the Sonoma Mission Inn” and 1990’s “New Spa Food: Hearty, Healthy Recipes from the Norwich Inn & Spa,” based upon two of the company’s spa properties, promoted the company’s spas as great places for people who wanted to slim down, relax and lose weight. The company’s spas hosted former First Ladies of the United States, U.S. Senators, award-winning movie stars, supermodels, pop singers and others.
